MAP Store Shipping & Returns Policy
When you purchase any item from the Museum of American Poetics (MAP) Store, our goal is that you receive your item as quickly as possible and to your satisfaction. This is the case for whatever item you purchase at or through the MAP Store.
Expected Shipping Times
Tired of ordering something online and waiting for weeks to receive it? So were we. For purchases that we carry in-house, our aim is to get your order to you in 3-4 business days from the time we receive your order. Orders placed Monday through Saturday by 2:00 p.m. Mountain Time will generally leave our office by the next business day. Orders placed after 2:00 p.m. MST or on Sunday and holidays will generally leave our office within 2 business days.
The MAP Store does not have any control, and hence assumes no liability, over expected shipping times for items bought at our affiliate programs. We also assume no liability in the event that a vendor does not send you the item you have purchased.
We Ship USPS
We ship books, CDs, DVDs, and other MAP products originated at the MAP Store office via USPS mail. Options are available on our check-out pages. Products that you order off site through our affiliate programs may offer different shipping options. The MAP Store has no control and therefore assumes no liability for shipping options available through its affiliate programs.
Insurance
MAP Store purchases are automatically assigned mailing insurance equivalent of the cost of the item for products costing $40.00 and up. The MAP Store is not liable for products sent with or without insurance.
Return Policy
The MAP Store provides descriptions of items for sale. We are also available to answer questions about a product before the time of purchase. Some of our items are new, and some of our items are rare and/or used. It is the responsibility of the buyer to understand to their satisfaction what they are purchasing before the time of purchase. This responsibility extends to items purchased off site as well as in-house. Orders paid to the MAP Store PayPal account are therefore non-returnable. Returns may be available for orders made through our affiliate programs.
Replacement Policy
Because many products at the MAP Store are one-of-a-kind items, replacing your order may not be available. Therefore, the MAP Store is not liable for any replacement of a product.
