Poem for Anne Turning 70

Her vocalized peace and freedom disclosures

keep floating above the rooftops of the world

whether she is chanting for egalitarian change

like a fast-speaking woman of the here and now

or reading Iovis epics from the inventive future.

She made a sacred vow to poetry and kept it

in an era when too many public figures

break promises without half-blinking an eye.

She has traveled the globe as an acknowledged ambassador

for Imaginative Leaps and all sentient beings.

May she be rewarded with good health

and the health of the planet.
