THE MOON SPEAKS ABOUT HER LOVER

Because you live inside me still

I can't believe that I'm alive

When you begin to shine I fade

A sliver of a darker phase

And all those warm nights I reflected

Light I thought would last forever

THE EARTH MOVES

Dream Anne: The earth moves?!?! Why didn't you tell me??

It moves me and the young sir I love who is Delivered to me

by the dream Anne on a couch opening a present from Ed

which is the playbill for a performance which will be

a reading

a book party

and a Wedding

now Anne and Ed

take turns listing ways to make poetry a breath a way of breathing

a secret practice whereby the mention of the beloved's name

reverses the lungs and flowers them in exquisite color

and sometimes sound
