Budget Solution
Instead of cutting teachers,
I dreamed the states cut large portions of the
National Anthem to balance the budget.
During the entire housing crisis,
I heard no news about Native American
Reservation foreclosures.
Once upon a time, the grandmothers
Were flat-chested, as is true of everyone.
They ran through city streets in wedding dresses
To campaign against domestic violence.
Their skin was inhumanely beautiful.
They died with no wrinkles.
